A
CaTALYST'S
PRAYER

Disturb us, oh God, when we
are too well-
pleased with
ourselves; when our dreams have
come true because we dreamed too little;
when we have arrived
in safety because we
sailed too close to shore.

Disturb us, oh God,
when with the abundance
of things we possessed,
we have lost our thirst
for the water of life; when
having fallen in live with
time, we have ceased to
dream of eternity; and in
our efforts to build the new
earth, we have allowed our
vision for the New Heaven
to grow dim.

Stir us, oh God, to dare
more boldly to venture
on wider seas, where
storms shall show Thy
mastery, where losing
sight of the land
we shall find the stars,
in the name of Him who
pushed back the horizons
of our hopes and invited
the brave to follow.
Amen.

THE GAVEL TO YIELD

Message from JCI Sen. GILDA O. GO
LOM President, 2000-2001

I would like to welcome you to another year with the Bai Lawanen Jaycees!

As Jaycees, we all have one mission, that is, to create positive change.

Being with the Jaycees for so many years, I can say that I have done my own bit of making that positive change. This year, I have been given the task to lead and encourage the Bai Lawanen Jayces in making that change.

Our activities for JCY 2000-2001 will carry out our LOM theme: "Jaycee Strength, Unity and Service." With the support of the general membership of Bai Lawanen Jaycees, success is our definite destination.

We only get to live once. Together, let us make the best out of what we have. Let us aim to succeed and create that positive change!

President Gigi

A STIR OF ECHOES

Message from JCI Sen. PRISCILLA B. CURILAN
LOM President, 1999-2000

The year that was... how should I say it? Tough? Enjoyable? Challenging?

Our Jaycee Year started with only a handful of officers working and a handful of members supporting; but it still made my whole journey very fulfilling.

The desire and the effort to unite people together to achieve quality output became very demanding. However, during the challenges and the taxing journey, I got to know my Bai Lawanen friends deeper and I had the chance to have fun with them. There were many realizations and surprises... that from those you expect less, you get more.

In an organization, there is only a good leadership and a good membership. In which position you are in, strive to be the best that you can be.

Thank you all for your support!

Immediate Past President Pinky
